Today's stage of the Camí de Ronda runs very picturesquely along the coast from Tamariu. We leave Begur in a southerly direction. Once past the last houses in town, the GR-92 branches off the road to the left and becomes a hiking trail. We walk slightly downhill through a wooded area and finally reach the coastal town of Tamariu with its picturesque bay.

For the next few kilometers we hike directly along the coast and can enjoy the view of the deep blue sea and the many white boats. We pass bays with such clear water that we can clearly see the seabed. Today you should definitely take a bath break or two.

The most striking vantage point on today's stage is on the Cap de Sant Sebastià: From the church "Ermita de Sant Sebastià" you have a great view of the sea and the lighthouse a few meters away at the top of the cap. The vantage point is a popular destination with an attached hotel and restaurant.

Before we descend to the next town, we can enjoy the view to the south and get an idea of the further course of the route: Our route takes us past the seaside resorts of Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell - many wealthy Catalans have holiday homes and weekend homes here. It can get quite busy here in the summer, but it's quiet and tranquil out of season. After leaving these villages with their beautiful bays behind us, the GR-92 branches off into the slightly wooded and hilly hinterland. The highest point of this section is the "Puig del Terme" at 132 m.

At the beach "Platja Del Castell Palamós" we meet the coast again - the last and very worthwhile bathing opportunity of the day. The rest of today's stage runs along the coast to Palamós, our destination today. Palamós has little in common with the picturesque small towns that we have experienced on our tour so far: Palamós is a city with temporarily up to 100,000 inhabitants. The choice of tourist accommodation is correspondingly large, we recommend a hotel away from the hustle and bustle.
